Michelle Grössl (guitar, vocals)

Michelle is very happy to return to her musical roots with Far From Home. Her father was a Country-and-Western producer, so she grew up listening to—and meeting—the likes of Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. She's also a fan of contemporary acts like Keith Urban, Pat Green and Allison Kraus and Union Station. Michelle got her first guitar as a teen, and was the lead singer in a jazz band. She hails from Washington, D.C. She's currently working on co-writing some songs for the band with lead guitarist Robert .
Marybeth D'Amico (guitar, vocals)

Marybeth, who grew up near Princeton, N.J., spent her youth participating in choir, playing flute in the band and taking part in musicals. She picked up the guitar only a few years back when her daughter was taking lessons—and hasn't put it down since. She has a keen interest in singer-songwriters who combine diverse influences from folk, rock, country, blues and gospel. Her particular obsession is the singer-songwriter Patty Griffin. Marybeth also writes and performs her own music.
John Griffith (drums, vocals)

John – also originally from New Jersey - took up the drums at an early age and played in his school band and orchestra. Growing up he was heavily influenced by the country rock bands of the 70s such as Pure Prairie League, Eagles, and Poco, which then progressed into a passion for bluegrass and all types of country music. For the past 15 years, John has played in various rock and country bands in Southern California, Taiwan, and Europe.
Robert (lead guitar, vocals)

Croatian lead guitarist Robert brings more than a decade of experience spent as a guitarist, singer and professional sound man. His musical influences, from hard rock to classic rock and roll, and his accomplished solos are an important addition to the country band. He has also written a number of his own songs. Robert has a special love for 80's bands such as Dire Straits.
Dennis Rich (bass, vocals)

Bassist Dennis Rich of Chicago brings with him ten years of experience in diverse folk, rock, jazz and blues bands across the Mid-Western U.S. In particular, Dennis digs blues musicians from Chicago like Buddy Guy and Junior Wells, but also is drawn to Bluegrass/Newgrass greats such as Bela Fleck. And he also likes the Dixie Chicks!
Stefan Größl

The only native Bavarian in the group, Stefan (Steve), is responsible for gig scheduling, band organization and publicity, as well as the band's sound. Besides his role as Chief-Cable-Untangler, Stefan also makes sure the band's equipment is meeting the current needs of the group. He also supports the rhythm section and can often be found quietly humming along when the band performs.
